How to create a budget in Quicken?

There are two ways How to create a budget in Quicken? The first is the automatic option, which is based on top spending categories. For it:

  1. Navigate through Planning > Budgets;
  2. Next, click on Budget Actions and then opt for Create a new budget;
  3. Finally, enter a budget name and choose Automatic Budget.

The other is the more advanced way, and to proceed with it:

  1. Go to Planning > Budgets > Budget Actions > Create a new budget;
  2. In the next step, enter a name and choose Advanced Budget;
  3. Here enter the budget type, date range, budgeting method, rounding, and finally, accounts and categories.
  4. Next, create the budget using the Advanced Budget Setup.
